Umia welcomes newly hired employees online
Providing new employees with relevant information and preparing them for their new positions is now shifting to the online realm. Pre-boarding training is particularly suitable since it is conducted before the new employee arrives at the company.
– “We have been tasked with developing the pre-boarding training for the construction company Umia. This assignment is particularly interesting to us because it represents a modern form of pre-boarding that several of our clients are interested in,” says Ann-Charlotte Johannesson, CEO of NXT Learning.
– “Umia has a modern focus where employees are closely aligned with their core operations, and it’s crucial not only to inform and update new personnel effectively but also to ensure their understanding of the company’s vision and core values. All employees represent Umia outwardly, making pre-boarding important in various aspects,” continues Ann-Charlotte.

The pre-boarding course will include numerous elements that are both unified across the organization and locally rooted. Umia is present in nine locations in Sweden and was founded in Umeå.
– “It’s a challenge to align everyone in such a geographically dispersed company, to use the same procedures, and to make the company functioning cohesively. Umia has succeeded excellently, and it’s gratifying that we get to be such a crucial part of this machinery,” concludes Ann-Charlotte.
